Metro PCS Samsung a870 Bluetooth

So I'm trying to transfer a ring tone from my laptop that has bluetooth to my phone which has bluetooth. I turned bluetooth on my phone on and then used opened bluetooth file transfer wizard and selected send a file and chose my phone when selecting a device (under the device it says "already connected"). Then I selected the file: mstr puppets.mid. Then I got this message:

The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond.

If you sent the file to another Windows XP computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed.

Is it MetroPCS? Do I need to do something with the phone? Any help please
