Re: Anyone else like Samsung phones?

I love Samsung phone because of my first hadn set & I found it's menu are easier than others I checked. The phone I used to use in India was better as that had lot's of ring tunes. They didn't lock their phone. This Samsung belongs to the North American provider might be a garbage unfortunately as they don't allow custom mp3 as a ring tune. But I heard other brand we can....so compare to that Samsung is not a good choice if u wish to do somthing abt custom ring tune.Sometimes I wish to bring Samsung from Asia to get rid this damn North American one.

Re: Anyone else like Samsung phones?

Well, I've only had one Samsung phone so far, but I was pretty impressed with it. The T629, native to the T-Mobile network, was a pretty sweet phone. It was my first slider, before it my preference was for flips. The only thing I didn't like about the phone was that it freaked out when I tried to use my 2Gb Micro SD card.

Unfortunately, my room mate who got me the line is giving it to her girlfriend, but now I'm waiting on an A737 on my boyfriend's AT&T plan, looks like a much nicer phone, should be here tomorrow.

I have a Samsung sgh-A737 phone (red) and I love the thing. It's been a great intro slider / media phone for me. When I first bought it, the provider site only claimed to support 2gb SD micro card. I bought the 2 GB card...only to discover it will take a 4 GB micro SDHC card. I've got the thing loaded with music and videos, with plenty of space left over for video recording.
I wish the menu was a bit more user friendly and customizable. Also, I wish there was a way to turn off the AT&T center button that launches the media browser. It woul be nice a the default "select" button.
All in all, it's been a great phone. I recommend it.

Well, I got my sgh-A737 (red), and I'm only half impressed. I got it filled with music and a bunch of ringers and stuff, so that's cool, but I'm pretty disappointed with one particular 'feature'.

So far I haven't had a problem with that, but my boyfriend and I talk for ten to twelve hours a day, and his never charges while we're on the phone together. The charging issue kind of becomes a deal breaker, so we're looking at other phones.

Also I never was fond of the proprietary charging/headphone port.

I have the A737 (Black) and its been my best phone so far. It could just be the way I talk, but on rare occasions, people on the other end have a bit of trouble hearing me. Everything else about it, pretty awesome
