how to put mp3 music files or pictures on my samsung rant / samsung m540

A month or so ago, I bought a Samsung Rant, from Telus. It didn't come with a microSD card, but I got one for Christmas. I put the microSD card into the slot, and it shows a memory card image on the main screen of the phone, but it doesn't do anything else. And, when I plug it into the usb port in my computer, nothing comes up or anything ?

How can I put mp3s and pictures onto this memory card ?

U need to buy a Micro SD adapter wich looks just like the memory chip except like 5 times bigger u put the SD card into the adapter then put it in the slot in ur computer usually below the power button. u shuld get a notification telling u the CPU has detected it, the memory card isproboly guna be called Removable Disk F. Thats where u wanna save ur music files. U shud b able to put ur music anywhere on the disk. after uve downloaded ur music to ur card put it back in, and as far as findingout how to access the memory card thru ur fone....just go thru ur whole fone and find out how to get into it if u dunt kno where2 download music try jamglueDOTcom

Ok i had the same problem, i just got mine yesterday and spent all night figure it out looking through my phone. And guess what? I figured it out lol ok anyways, you push the menu button (leave the sd card in your phone) then you go to tools, then you go to mass storage and click connent to pc. After than you will see a box appear saying please connect USB cable. I think you know what to do next.

Everything goes smooth in my phone. I copied some of music and picture files in it. But my problem is the picture and music files are not visible while browsing through phone. any suggestion?

You have to put pictures in the DCIM folder. There should be a sub folder in DCIM, put them in there. As for music, you must put them in the music folder and the files have to be in mp3 format (the phone won't recognize wma files).
