My kids have Samsung Gravity phones, when they had Motorola phones I used Motorola phone tools to add ringtones and wallpaper to their phones.

Is there a software for Samsung phones, specifically the gravity?

Re: Samsung Gravity

I also have a samsung Gravity and have not been able to load any java games or applications like wall papers and what not but you can load music and photos and what not using a samsung usb and micro SD memory card. To order the cord from them is expensive. I ordered mine off of amazon for a grand total of $2.50 where as T mobile wanted $30 so that is your choice. Once you get the cord you can add music and videos and photos, The music you can turn into ringtones and the photos you can turn into wallpapers. If there is one online that you really must have just snap a photo of your computer screen and load it that way, this is what i do, it looks the same as if you paid $2.99 for it from their website, but other that that I haven't been able to do much else because the phone itself does not support it. Some phones applications can be hacked like your old motorola. This one unfortunately can not, as far as I know and believe me I am trying so if I figure something else out I will be sure to post.

by the way I did watch some videos on Youtube on how to add games to the gravity, but the only one I actually seen work was Zelda. I have tried 30 or so other games with no luck. but youtube may be able to help you out more.
Good Luck

That video is worthless now, unless you have an internet package. I'm going to attempt to put the .jar file on my sdcard straight from my comp and see if I can't just transfer them that way. If it works, I will post instruction then.

okay. I tried and failed. However, if you can find someone who has the game that you want, and it wasn't a purchased game, try having them send it through the bluetooth. It might work, I'm gonna try.

Hello all I have an answer. Get the free download Switch file converter. It's free. then edit your songs to a file on your desktop named ringtone. Edit your files with a free built in programe called wave pad. save it to folder ringtone. then reload it to Swith file convert and conver to file format .amr . it should be saved to your ringtone folder on your desktop. then email it to yourself as an attachment. access by the gravity 2 your email and download it. one thing though it saves as a sound voice recorder. could be the format but it does work. Have fun.

I have not had any problems downloading ringtones since my phone came with the connecting usb cable...BUT, it seems I cannot use any of these downloaded ringtones for my text message alert. Am I just not looking in the right place or does this phone ONLY allow you to use the text message alerts already loaded by the manufacturer?

Message alert tone works when using .amr file. I set my sound setting to outdoor. Then added my desired .amr file. Try using that format.
