    Does anyone phone does this? I had the eternity and it never froze up on me, unfortaunately someone stole it from me, but the impression only freeze up when i try using the virtual keyboard. This is my second impression, I took the other one back to At&T they gave another one but this one is freezin up...anyone else expriecning this?

    I have this problem as well. However, mine only freezes up when I use the horizontal virtual keyboard and it ALWAYS does it after I type in an "I" and then "space". Sometimes it freezes up for other stuff but I noticed that right away. I am taking my phone in tomorrow to see what AT&T says.

    My Son is having the same problem with his Samsung Impression.
    Purchased a new phone yesterday. It locked up several times while he
    was using the soft keyboard.
    We went back to the AT&T store and exchanged it for a new one, and we are having the exact same problem. That's two new phones in two days.
    It does not take long - it locked up several times over the last couple hours.

    Not sure what to do here. I'm trying to contact Samsung and see if they know about this or what.

    I have had mine for about a week and a half or so, and it does the exact same thing. mine only freezes when i use the sideways virtual keyboard...if i press I and then space, it freezes and reboots. what have you guys done about this? what should i do?

    I would suggest we all first contact Samsung and report the problem
    (check their WEB site. This forum will not allow me to include a URL)

    I sent them two notices. So far, they have not responded.
    Nonetheless, if Samsung receives enough messages describing the same problem on the same phone, they can't ignore it forever.

    I would also suggest posting on the AT&T wireless forum
    (again, chck the WEB site - I can't post the URL. Grrrr....)
    (assuming of course AT&T is your carrier).

    It typically takes some critical mass of users reporting the same problem to get the manufacturer to admit to the defect and begin working on a fix.

    i agree, in fact I would like to call someone at samsung...because I really like the phone! Before I had this phone I had the eternity and it never froze up!

    All - Please call Samsung and report this defect!

    I just got off the phone with Samsung, and they told me
    they have no records of anyone reporting this issue.

    Please call 1-888-987-4357 (Samsung Mobile Phones)
    and REPORT THE PROBLEM.

    We will not get a fix until Samsung acknowledges they have
    a problem, and that will not happen until users report the
    problem to Samsung.

    I just purchased the Impression last week and was thrilled with it for about a week then as soon as I put my fav 5 on screen as one of the so called "widget" side bar features it locked up and now cant control front screen at all! Rebooted it several times. removed sim card and battery overnight and several times today and to no avail! Called my phone rep and he said that shouldve fixed it? So he told me to come in today and exchange it. if it does it again im not gonna get it again! Will exchange it for something else.. Anyone else have that problem?
