News: NFC equipped Samsung SHW-A170K via KT

South Korea has just announced their first Near Field Communication technology handset, SHW-A170K, that uses NFC compatible USIM.

The function of the NFC handset will allow users to make payments, buy tickets, gift cards and more by using the NFC technology of the handset. Some of the companies that uses NFC include Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robins, GS Caltex as well as several others.

The SHW-A170K has features that include: 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, 3MP camera, Bluetooth 2.1, T-DMB and GPS. Price of the handset has not been mentioned.
