Samsung S3370 and reception

hello people,
I have a Vodafone Samsung S3370 and a network I have.
is it with you also that when the cell phone only a few centimeters cheer table moves or holds the cell phone in hand, the poor reception.

can you tell me once that the case is with you also?
and something could with the software (firmware) related?

The latest software available from your porvider generally will contain data pertaining to their newest towers and such.
~Phone settings are also at issue; call your provider to ensure you have proper roaming settings etc.
~last but not least, your phone may be the issue; take it in for repair.
