Samsung B7722 Duos screen flashes

Hi, I have a Samsung B7722 duos, a good phone that works well in Australia. A simple but annoying problem is that whenever I turn the phone off ( turn it off completely) and turn it back on , the screen flashes every minute . I have searched everywhere in the phone to get it to stop flashing , with no luck then it just stops? Any ideas much appreciated.

It's flashing like turning off and then back on rapidly? Does it go away with any particular sequence?
