I have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy s3 and am trying to connect via bluetooth to a Sony Ericsson HCB-108 handsfree speaker.
The issue i have is that neither device seems to pick up the other. I used to use the handsfree with a sony phone and they still 'see' each other.
Does Samsung use a different 'type' of Bluetooth?
Are my two devices compatible?

Sometimes older Bluetooth devices don't always play nice with newer Bluetooth v4 devices like the S3. Also, not all devices are compatible with each other. I have had a GNex, Maxx and the S3 and the connection along with quality is different with everyone of my Bluetooth devices. The same holds true with built in Bluetooth car kits, they are not always compatible even though they both have Bluetooth. Sometimes there is nothing that can be done except buy a different Bluetooth Speaker or device. If you find this post helpful, click on bottom of each post: Like l Share
