Samsung SGH-A167 Bad Home Reception with Pure TalkUSA

Would a different phone provide better in-home reception? And if so, which phone?

I have tried various (always the chapey free phones) phones and services - Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile. I am tired of bad in-home reception. Plus, my mom no longer uses the phone because she cannot hear people when calling from home.

What phone would help?

I would look into getting some kind of cell phone repeater known as femtocell.

Unfortunately they are a bit expensive but definitely worth it if you have signal issues:
