Have 2 Samsung SGH-t819 phones which function normally except that one of them has extremely poor sensitivity to a Bluetooth headset. Both phones will recognize the headset and connect and pair. Can use the speaker and microphone in the headset. Can also disconnect or end a call and reconnect by using the paddle switch on the headset.
The problem is that one of the phones loses contact and disconnects the headset if only a few inches away from the headset. Can see the headset from my computer using Bluetooth over 30 feet away so I know the headset transmits OK.
Could the Bluetooth antenna in the phone with poor sensitivity be disconnected or broken?
What could I do to try and fix this problem?

It's possible that something internally with the bluetooth antenna is broken. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do in that case other than take it to a cell phone repair shop and hope they can find the problem. That may cost more than getting a new phone though.
