Have had a 32 g installed since got phone several months ago and now the unit randomly says card unavailable or unmounted. Sometimes when reboot it finds it but then randomly looses it, any thoughts?

    Tks

What kind/brand of SD card is it? Was it formatted in the phone?

is it micro sdhc? Kingston, Sandisk, Transcend?

Either way, it should be able to handle a 32gb card. I would try another one and see if the same thing happens though.

Also, try to transfer data off card, remove & install card, power phone off & on, reformat card in the phone.
Transfer only a few items back to card at first, making sure items are in the correct folders.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro: Micro SD Card

Called ATT, sent me to Samsung who sent me on to SanDisc. Apparently there is a problem on Class 10 32GB cards prior to Dec 2012. Read them the number on the card, got an RMA. Have to send it back before a replacement. Before doing that took out of phone, backed everything up. Before reformatting a few times before sending it back, put it back into the phone. Already ordered a new one from Amazon (came but adapter no good) to copy over before found out about SanDisc's policy. However, card (original) so far has worked and no hiccups. Printed the RMA form in case I do need it.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro: Micro SD Card

Original card failed again, used backup on computer/Kies to move files/directories from computer to new card which has worked without a problem for past couple months. Original could not even be read on computer or phone. Used a Nokia adapter to put the card into the adapter to format in a camera and maybe use there. Didn't work. But, when entered back into a computer, the computer read it fine. Figure a problem in boot/master track. Plan to format in a different phone and try it there next. New card (post Dec 2012) has worked so far, anti-virus program checks it religiously as use it for downloads etc. So every download/update from Play-store forces an evaluation and read - it works. This one is also a sanDisc, also bought from Amazon.
