okay, long story and a weird one. Sold samsung galaxy2 on Ebay and when person went to activate it they were told the phone had just been activated by someone else. I have been the only owner of the phone, never reported it lost or stolen and buyer only other person to have phone. Called Virgin Mobile numerous times trying to clear this up, trying to explain that somehow this mystery person used Meid number to activate an account yet they do not have the phone. Buyer is sending me back the phone as we both wasted a lot of time with VM who promised time and again they could fix this. My question, if someone took the ID numbers from the phone off my pics on my listing could they somehow activate another phone or what would the motivation be? I believe my buyer is honest and I know I sold the phone as being only owner of the phone with no reports of lost, stolen, etc...any insight greatly appreciated.
