Just bought this pimp little phone, and I've been beaming ringtones via a laptop, but how much is too much? The manual doesn't mention anything, how many KB or MB it has. Anyone know?

great, the stupid phone says it's out of memory now . . . even after i delete some of the ringtones. i swear that easygprs software samsung puts out is royally screwed up, cause my phone sometimes won't work even though the laptop detects that it is in range, and my buddy has the same phone and his is detected but the software will only recogzine mine. guess i'll be e-mailing samsung right about now . . .

i've had that problem. i believe the problem lies w/ tmobile. more specifically, the updated firmware of the s105.
my older s105s work fine. and they match the new one in every aspect except the firmware.

maybe a data cable would work. haven't tried yet.

btw, memory for the s105 is separated into 3 categories: midlets, ringtones, and pictures. therefore clearing pictures won't free up space for ringtones, nor viceversa.

hmm, i didn't know the memory was pre-allocated for certain things, i just thought it was one collective memory pool. i'll mess with it when i'm back from vacation.

depends on how much space each song takes. offhand, i'd say 6-7 songs.

so far i've been able to put 45 ringtones on my phone. of course, i shorten up the ringers to approximately 5 or 6 seconds. the voicemail will kick in after rings so why put the entire song on your phone if you won't hear all of it? hope that helps.
