i use PsmPlay to convert wav file into mmf file format, i have tried a few times, but the result is very BAD and it only can convert for a few seconds !! so i decide just to use mmf from midi files.

If you have sprint pcs as your provider you can use www.3gforfree.com to upload real ringtones. You have to convert your wav file to .qcp format first though. There is a short tutorial in the help section of the site.

I have the same phone- it definitely accepts midi files. Just email them to your cell phone number.
