    I want to connect this phone with the SE T616 through the ir port, but it's not working any hints

    I tried to do that, it won't work. I heard the phone will only connect to a computer and not other cell phones.

    not sure about the t616 but i think the s307 can only receive not send infared.

    oh yeah and only from a computer since you need easygprs or similar program to send files.

    I try to connect to other phones and it wont work....do you guys reccomend any irda cable to use? and if it would work in the cingular version of S307

    any irda cable shoudl work. just make sure you have the easy gprs software, which can be downloaded from the samsung site. configuring for the irda seems to be an issue with most people so if you can get an oem cable with the "d/l <--> data" switch.

    sakaze is correct, you MUST have easy gprs install on the system before you are able to send/receive any files.

    I have the S307 on Cingular, bought a generic USB-IrDA adapter on ebay for about $8. downloaded easygprs. works wonderfully for pictures and ringtones. I just wish you could transfer java apps in the same way...stupid expensive wap access

    how expensive is it for y'all? i'm on t-mo and only pay $2.99 a month for unlimited access. i use it mostly for browsing and checking scores though.

    hey would it also work if i used my fone to and irda to a laptop? like is their anyway to activate the one on my laptop? do u hav to activate it? or it will pick up the one from the fone automatically?
