    I'm a cell phone guru..
the 8100 is capaible of doing speaker phone but it kinda of a glitch..

if you dial a number and close your phone right when it says connecting it will activate the speaker on the back of the phone but its not very loud..

just a lil thing to toy around with thats all

8100 has a speakerphone, but not worth it.

the 8100 has a speakerphone, but it is better off if you don't use it, because you can barely hear people through it, even on the highest volume.

well the 8100 speakerphone wasnt meant to be used as a speakerphone, that speaker is for the music ringtones, basically ful music ringtones. that close the phone thing right after it starts dialing, can be used on most of the new sprint phones.

Have you guys ever tried to listen to the caller without pressing talk. I only have used it on the scp-8100. Set your phone to accept calls only when the talk button is pushed. When someone calls you open it and push one of the buttons on the side of the phone (either volume button or camera button). You can hear what's going on the other side without taking the call.
