Emailing ringtones from computer to phone

I know how to email my phone from the computer just don't know how to get the ringtone to the phone.... I have a Sprint PCS Sanyo VI-2300 and i've already tried emailing the ringtone as an attachment... (wouldn't let me put the ringtone in the email itself...) I've searched google, and searched these forums and have come up with nothing but thought this would be a good place to ask. Thank you,

P.S. I made a htm file (webpage) using my webspace with just two links so i can (on my phone) click on those links and download them directly that way... I thought it would work but it did not. Says "The Requested Page can not be displayed."
