Re: Gsmliberty is a scam
LADRONES!
Before making the payment ask if my phone model released by my carrier in Argentina and I confirmed that yes.
After making the payment I was told that the code did not appear in the database and they had to do an extensive search, so agree to pay extra. And when I sent the alleged codes none worked.
Now I'm making the claim for a solution and give me my money back and since a week ago that nobody responds. The next Monday I will ignore the purchase with my credit card.
GSM LIBERTY IS A FARCE
THIEVES!

Re: Gsmliberty is a scam
I think it's a good idea to C/P this post and send it to GSMLiberty, and tell them that this complaints would be blog over the internet. That should get their attention! And just wait and see what happen.
Of course, ONLY if it's approve by a MOD.

Re: Gsmliberty is a scam
This is a scam. I paid the 25 dollars for an unlock code, downloaded and installed the software and when I tried to unlock my phone, it said I had insufficient credits. I contacted the online support, who kept me on the phone for 30 min till he told me to email the sales department. Still waiting to here from them. I am glad I only spent 25, I wish I would have googled "GSMLiberty SCAM" before i bought this service.

Re: Gsmliberty is a scam
Do not turn on the bluetooth feature of your cellphone if its not necessary. Cons will try to scan and if they found your cellphone, they will get the specs and tried to unlock your codes and once they get in, they will take all info they could. Just reminders specially during holiday season, since most of us will visit relatives or friends or travel somewhere else not completely familiar to us..
Safe and happy holidays..

Re: Gsmliberty Is A Scam
Bonjour a tous.
Thank you for your purchase.
The servers (HTC LVL1 and LVL2) used to locate the unlock code for your HTC phone with IMEI xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx yielded no result. This happens for a variety of reasons, most notably your phone's IMEI being a newer one that has not been added to these databases yet.
We can offer one of the following two options at this time :
1- Cancel your order for a full refund as per our service guarantees.
OR
2- A premium HTC database can be used to search for your phones unlock code and does come at an extra cost of €7.47 .
the code for your phone was not found in the first level search.
to go for second level search you should pay extra cost or else you can cancel your order for refund
Guignolesque: D'après eux il a plusieurs niveaux (level) et pour avoir le code il faux aller dans le niveaux supérieur... moyennant finances.
Moralité : Leur service gsmliberty.net est un escroquerie en ligne.
cordialement Ado

Re: Gsmliberty is a scam
I have my 2 days HTCDesire bricked after code provided by GSM liberty, and tried several days to get in contact with any one, all in vain.
Plus they overcharged me for what the original deal was to unblock my phone. Had to go to friend who showed me shop in town where I could restore / revive the phone.
Thank you for your purchase.

started at 11 euro, to find out that additional 7.80 have to be paid, to find out that i was billed twice, once for 11 and once for 18 euro.
And forget about getting any service or reply from those guys
GSMLIBERTY= FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Gsmliberty is a scam
EDIT: THIS WAS INITIALLY A VERY ANGRY POST, BUT I'VE SINCE BECOME MORE SATISFIED WITH MY GSM LIBERTY EXPERIENCE.
I had bad service from them, but they delivered on the service they provided, they apologised when things went wrong, and they responded quite promptly when I expressed my issues.
I bought an unlock, but they sent me the software and instructions, and the username and password were blank.
I talked with someone on the phone, and online, and they asked me to submit a help ticket.
They replied in less than 24hours, sent me a working username and password.
Next, there wasn't enough credit on my account for the unlock that I had paid for, so I updated the support ticket.
Halfway through the very next business day, they responded, apologised earnestly, asked me to e-mail back once I had successfully unlocked the phone.
The unlock worked flawlessly.
All in all, they are definitely NOT scammers, just a shoestring online business that probably pays a third party for support. They're secure, they use paypal, and they care what their customers think.
They delivered the service I paid for, they responded promptly to my customer service needs, so all in all, I would use GSM Liberty again.Last edited by kevaan; 06-06-2011 at 12:11 PM. Reason: New information and experience.

Re: Gsmliberty is a scam
Hi everyone, I brought an unlock code from gsm liberty about 2 years ago for an old telstra phone (I am in australia) and it did not work at all. I could not get a reply out of them for almost 2 weeks and thought they had scammed me (I even put a bad review up on the site that was attached to their webpage as I was really upset). About a week after I posted the bad review they finally got back to me and gave me a different code and this one worked. I was happy with the unlocking finally working but it was not worth the two weeks of feeling horrible and upset thinking I had been brazenly scammed. They should have better customer service in place for when things go wrong and be more honest and let people know sometimes their codes dont work.

Re: Gsmliberty is a scam
GSM Liberty are definitely scam artist! I paid $15 to recieve an unlock code via email, but instead I recieved an email stating that they needed the name of my bank, and the city and state of my card. The payment had gone through, and they already had my address and the security code from the card, but for some strange reason, they wanted more information before processing the order. What more information could they possibly need? I told them to void that transaction, and I cancelled my card.

Re: Gsmliberty is a scam
Always unlocking a mobile using unlock code is the best way. But be sure you choose a safe and reliable source to get unlock codes. Don't fall with free sources. they are really of no use.
