Maybe some kind of prank

I've been having a problem with my phone the last few days and I can't figure it out. I don't know if it is a prank someone is pulling or if I have a virus so I decided to post here and see if any one can help me out.

The problem is that for some reason me and my friend are receiving calls from each other at the same time even though we weren't physically calling each other. In other words, my phone will ring and say that I'm getting a call from him, and at the same time his phone will ring and say that he is getting one from me. We pick up the phone and swear that it was the other one that called. We showed our call logs to each other and it says that we both have incoming calls from each other so I know he's not just messing with me. It's only happening between our phones.

We have also received a calls from an other number but no one ever answers when we answer it. It's just silent on the other end.

Does anyone know what might be going on? This is really annoying.

What phone, what service?

I've got an HTC touch with sprint and he has a blackberry curve with verizon.

Does it happen from both phones from both carriers?

I've never heard of something like this before.

How strange, maybe your friend is just playing a prank on you like you suspect. I've never heard of that happening before. Hopefully this gets resolved for you.
