Another Siemens newbie q.
Do I need a data cable to add ringtones to my handset or can they be SMS'd? Is there a possibility to use the IR to transfer ringtones?
In addition, there is an audio clip buried on my SL-56 that I cannot seem to find in the file manager. I'd like to use it as my ringtone. Any ideas?
You can find it on your SL-56 under:
MENU / SETUP / TONES-ALERTS / VOLUME / APPLICATIONS and then SELECT plays the clip.
Thanks

Yes your ringtones can be SMS'd to your phone, practically any phone that has internet access can receive links through SMS and beable to download the type of tone.
Hope this helps.

Yes you can transfer through IR, I always do that, whether it's from my pocket PC to my phone, or from another phone with IR to mines... vice versa
