Unlocking a T610

Hi everyone,
I may get a t610 from my uncle soon, and I am not sure how to unlock it. I know of the methods, but i cannot find a calculator software to generate a code? Does anyone have a link to one?
If not, I'm guessing my other option is to get a data cable. After all, if im gonna spend money, i'd rather have it be for a multi-functional cable than one-time code. I'm on ebay looking for cables now, and they're cheap! However, i want to know which cable i need to unlock a phone. What type of cable do i need? And can anyone link me to software to unlock the phone with a cable?

I believe you need the serial cable. IIRC, the USB cable cannot unlock Ericcsson phones, because it doesn't have enough connectors. No idea about software, however.

after unlock your phone, you can use different cell phone carrier's sim card in your phone.

You can only unlock SE phones with a cable, but not just any old usb/sync cable. You need something called a Terminator Dongle, easily found on ebay. It comes with all the software and instructions you need to do it yourself, I did, everything works great. It is safe as long as you follow the instructions. This cable will only unlock and upgrade your phones, it will NOT transfer files, etc.
