    s710a unlocked!!!

Just unlocked my s710a through Cingular!!

I called Cingular customer service, told them that I had purchased model "T637" in the past and had it unlocked through them. The service manager replied, "that is against our policy, and that it probably did not happen." - I replied, "I disagree, the customer service rep asked for my IMEI# and the provided my NCK code. The service manager then changed his story and told me that he could unlock my s710a as long as it was not still active, I told him that I had purchased the phone recently and was moving to Europe and would be changing providers, and felt that b/c of the cost of the phone that I did not wish to buy another one once over there. He immediately took down the IMEI# and provided the unlock code. Elaborate stretch of the truth but Cingular did give me the unlock code. Good Luck.

To Unlock the S710a you need a T28 Unlock cable (DSC-11) and a piece of software calledTotal Multi-Server which is extremely safe to Unlock and even unbrand your Cingular S710a. Unbranding the phone makes the phone alot easier to use on another carrier! the one thing about this software is that each time you want to unlock or flash a phone you'll need to buy a credit to do so.

If you want to purchase the DSC-11 cable or the credits that are needed then visit:

Good Luck everyone and let us know how things go!

you can find unlock cables on ebay. just search for sony ericsson data cable. make sure its not the usb version and you should be good to go. i bought a no name brand one to unlock my friends t306 and it worked perfectly. i read somewhere that the cheap cables work better for unlocking then the official sony ericsson ones, but i dont know if that is true or not. all i do know is that my cheap cable worked like a charm.

Code is phone based, not country based.
So once you unlock your phone, it will work for any country and any SIM.
    It's a one time thing.
