    are you talking bout amr files or polyphonic ringtones?
    if ur talking bout .amr :
    .amr files are also used in recordings...
    well T610 can play those amr files but u can't hear them in high volume like polyphonic tones.... niether can u keep them as ur ringtone
    if ur talking bout' polyphonic ringtones :
    then yes, t610 can play polyphonic ringtones.... and the instruments are pretty nice[32 instruments].... for more info PM me...and your welcome

    it's pretty bad we can't use our recordings coz i really wanted a song in my cellphone and it just doesn't work, only ringtones

    i've also tried using recordings as a ringtone but no such luck... also kind of sucks that you can't use your own ringtone for txt-messages

    Same goes for the T630, I try playing an mp3 and using voice recorder to record it, so I can try and use it as my ringtones.

    But it doesn't work :\

    i think t610/630 can only use midi files (polyphonic) for ringtones.. the newer sony ericsson phones such as k700i and the swivel one can use mp3 and also voice recordings

    You can play monotone, polyphonic en real tones on a T630 and at the T610.
    Here are 2 links for ringtones.
