Hey guys and gals,

Around 10 months ago I took my (at the time) new k700i purchased from T-mobile to a local phone shop around here and had them unblock it for all networks. Recently the phone has started playing up with the joystick button and the charging area and T-mobile have told me to send it to Ericsson because it's still under warranty.

I rang Ericsson and they said to backup any data first because in some cases the firmware is reset to default and if this is the case it will block the phone again. I'm wondering if I send my phone away, when I get it back I will have to get it unblocked yet again.

Is there a way to ghost (like the computer industry ghosting) the content of the phone or backup the files changed on the phone so I can restore them without having to pay for the unlocking again?

I have a cradle connector for my phone to my pc which I can use to transfer the sounds and pictures etc... But wonder if I can back up the operating files to save having to pay again for the unblocking.

Any help will be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Marcus
