Anyone know if it is possible to delete the preloaded ringtones and pictures? When I try to using the phone's funtions, it tells me that they are protected files. Is there a different why to get rid of them?

Re: w600i question
Yes you can. The phone must be unbranded to get rid of those Cingular icons & ringtones.

Re: w600i question
i wouldn't suggest attempting this on your own. Your best bet is to find a phone shop near you that can flash phones. This basically resets the firmware on the phone and erases all the items from the carrier

Re: w600i question
Sony ericsson are pretty strange when it comes to protecting files to be honest. I moved all my ringtones into a new folder to catagorize them properly, but it won't let me put the ones entitled "Sony Ericsson" and "Greeting" inside that folder. It's wierd because the other ones will move.

The W550...but it doesn'r matter if you want to use the W600 because it's quadband.
