Re: ringtones...
Hello and welcome to CPF, band_groupie.
I'm guessing your W810i is branded to ATT/Cingular. If it is, refer to the link below for answers...different provider, but exact same situation.
http://cellphoneforums.net/sony-eric...lock-help.html
Also, check a few threads down about the ringtones lock on the W810i. It also gives the same problem.Favorite Quote:

Re: ringtones...
try drm packager
if you're confident about the phone won't have any hardware problem, and not planning to use carrier's branding feature, de-branding is still another option to let you use mp3 tone unrestricted

Re: ringtones...
I found out that with sony ericsson phones you cannot play mp3 ringtones, but what you can do is, you can find a mp3 to wma converter program, such as "power converter" the use it as ringtone, alert, alarm... whatever you want.
Power converter is free to download and allows you to convert 1 at a time, but if you wanna convert many at once you need to buy it, so just download it and convert 1 at a time... I think thats the loophole!!
i hope i helped.

Re: ringtones...
I have a Sony Ericsson (w300) and I have many mp3 ringtones.
How odd that happened with a w800!
Could it be that you are saving the song to the memory card (not to the phone´s memory) so you can´t find it?
Be careful
