heres how to make a good video conversions for SE mobiles k700i and above

I Wrote this as a quick guide how to convert video files to mp4 for most SE mobiles ...note you MAY have to change the screensize to fit your SE mobile if the picture looks wrong once sent to your mobile

dimensions i have used work best on k700i,k750i and w800i

also note .. you need a good quality video file to work with in the first place otherwise using a bad video quality file will result in bad quality output file when sent to the mobile

Download Xilisoft PSP Video Converter from here and install it.

Run PSP Video Converter first, load the file(s) by clicking the "Add" button in the main interface or choose "Add" in the File menu.

Highlight the file you want to convert, informations of the file will be shown in the recording area. the settings are shown on the right... in the settings on the right where it says VIDEO size click on the dimensions and change them to read 176x144

scroll down to framerate and change the drop down to 14.985 fps

now where it says bitrate click on the dropdown and change it to 216

scroll down in the list of settings to Audio channels and change it from 2 to 1 channel



finally choose output format from "Profile" combo-box. Here, you must select "PSP Video Format (.mp4)" for your PSP.

Click "Browse..." button to select folder or entering the path directly to decide where to save the output file; "C:\temp" is the default one, but you can choose the desktop for easy access

Click "Encode" to start converting. After the conversion is done, there will be two output files for each single loaded file. One is the .MP4 video file, playable with QuickTime on PC, another is a .THM file, you will ONLY need the .mp4 file


send this MP4 to your mobile and thats it
