debranded w580i problems

I've had a w580i for a while now and it is debranded. While I like that I can put my own custom themes on there, and load mp3's of any length to be used as ringtones, I have other issues. When I make outbound calls they are recieved as restricted on the other persons phone. I called at&t and they swaer up and down that call id blocking is not enabled. I'm also not able to send/recieve picture or movie mssgs although regular text works fine. I've talked to at&t tech support and verified my internet settings are correct. I'd like to keep my phone debranded, can anyone help me?

I think that it was a problem with the debranding.
Maybe that was a problem or something.
Was the debrander a trusted dealer?
Or just some shack in some small mall.
