1)I just got the w508i [With Rogers]. It's a great phone so far but the only problem is I cant get the DMR. thing to work. It will say that the ring tone I made is set on my cell but when someone calls it, the default Sony Ericsson ring will come up.
Does anyone know how to fix this.

    If not:

    2) I heard Debranding it will allow me to use my custom ring tones that I made. Is that true? if so where do you go to do that. Do you have to go to Rogers?

    Re: 2 ringtone questions

Yes, de-branding should indeed remove the ringtone restriction. Rogers will not do this for you. You will need to head to a 3rd party company to get it re-branded with non-restricted firmware. I would recomend WotanServer for this. It is all done over the net, very reliable, and you can do it yourself with the data cable that came supplied with your phone.

    Re: 2 ringtone questions

I would suggest taking it to a local cell phone store, 3rd party as zarphor mentioned. I wouldn't take the risk of maybe screwing the phone up, leave it to the people who do this for a living, if they screw it up, its on their behinds, you payed them so it relieves you of responsibility to what happens to the phone during that time, =)

I'm positive you can use ringtones that way
