Re: Sony Ericsson T715a
I have the same phone. I'm really peed off that I can't see incoming numbers (even if they're in my phonebook) unless I pay a stupid monthly fee for the privelege! If I unlock, will these numbers show up as names of contacts, and unknown numbers show up as an actual number? If not, what is the benefit of unlocking apart from being able to use the phone with a different SIM?

Re: Sony Ericsson T715a
I also own a T715a as a second phone. First time I own a Fido branded phone and cannot use my own mp3 as alarm or ringtone. I am staying with Fido but need to find way to use my own mp3 as ringtones.
Can anyone help?

Re: Sony Ericsson T715a
The CID (Caller Identification) is network controlled, all phones are capable. The carrier must turn this feature on once you pay. Unlocking a handset is to accept a foreign SIM card in the phone. Most phones is North America are subsidized meaning your are not paying full pop at the carrier.

Ask to have it flashed to the generic variant and all locks will be open.

Go to the Sony Ericsson Developer page and download the DRM lock software. Follow the instruction on how to unlock DRM on MP3. The good new is all carrier will be DRM-free in 2011
