Sony Ericsson Equinox Battery Life

My dad has this phone from T-Mobile but complains the battery dies on him within 1 day. He seldom uses his phone. Also, when I take out the battery and put it back in, the phone freezes on the SE logo when I turn it back on. It takes several minutes before it actually turns on. Does anyone know the problem? Does 3G affect the battery life as well? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I seem to be having the same problem w/ my sons.. I'm certainly not thrilled w/ the phone, but at least I found new batteries for 14.95 each. But it really is crappy that the battery doesn't make it through the 2 year contract! Have you tried retraining the battery?? Are you using a car charger? Mine doesn't seem to last as long when charged in the car. Hope you find an answer!
