Wi-Fi Features
Enabling Wi-Fi:
- Tap the "Apps" icon on the home screen
- Go to "Settings"
- Enable Wi-Fi by dragging the associated slider in the "On" position
Connecting To a Wi-Fi Network
- Follow the previous three steps in order to enable Wi-Fi
- Once Wi-Fi is enabled, tap on "Wi-Fi"
- A list of networks should appear. Tap the network you wish to connect to
- If prompted, type-in the network's password
Scanning Wi-Fi Networks Manually
- Tap the "Apps" icon on the home screen
- Select "Settings" then tap "Wi-Fi"
- Press the menu icon depicted as three vertical dots, then tap "Scan"
Adding a Wi-Fi Network Manually
- Go to "Settings" and enable Wi-Fi
- In the "Settings" menu, tap on Wi-Fi
- Press the "add" icon depicted as a "+" symbol
- Type-in the Network SSID
- Tap the "Security" field and select a security type
- Type-in a network password if required, then press "Save"
Connecting to Another Wi-Fi Network
- Press the "Apps" icon on the home screen
- Select "Settings" and tap on "Wi-Fi"
- In the list of found networks, tap on a different network other than the one you're currently connected to
- Type-in the network password, if prompted
Bluetooth Features
Enabling Bluetooth on Your Device
- Tap the "Apps" icon on the home screen and go to "Settings"
- Enable Bluetooth by tapping on the "On-Off" switch
- Tap "Bluetooth". You will find your smartphone in the list of Bluetooth devices
- Tap on your device's name and make your handset visible to others
- Alternatively, you can adjust your device's Bluetooth visibility timer by pressing the "Menu" icon (depicted as three vertical dots) while in the "Bluetooth" screen, then tapping on "Visibility timeout" and selecting the desired option
Giving a New Bluetooth Name For Your Device
- Go to "Settings" and make sure that Bluetooth is enabled
- Tap "Bluetooth"
- Press the menu icon (three vertical dots) and select "Rename phone"
- Type-in the desired name for your device, then confirm by pressing "Rename"
Pairing Up With Another Bluetooth Device
- Enable Bluetooth on the device that you wish to pair with
- On your smartphone, go to the app drawer and select "Settings"
- Tap "Bluetooth" and select the device you wish to pair with from the list
- If prompted, type-in your other device's passcode
Unpairing a Bluetooth Device
- Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
- Select "Settings" and tap "Bluetooth"
- Under the "Paired devices" list, tap the icon (depicted as three sliders) located beside the name of the paired device
- Tap "Unpair"
