Importing Contacts from a SIM card

  1. On the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
  2. Go to "Contacts"
  3. Press the menu button depicted as three vertical dots
  4. Tap "Import contacts" and select "SIM card"
  5. To import all the contacts, tap "Import all". Alternatively, tap on the contacts that you wish to import individually

Importing Contacts From the SD Card

  1. Access the app drawer
  2. Select "Contacts"
  3. Press the menu button (three vertical dots) and select "Import contacts" > "SD card"
  4. Assuming that you have more than one vCard files saved on the SD card, a list showing separate batches of contacts will appear on your handset's screen. Select the one you wish to import

Transferring Contacts Using Bluetooth

Note: If you wish to learn how to enable Bluetooth and pair up with a Bluetooth device, please read this guide before continuing.

In order to transfer contacts via Bluetooth after pairing your Xperia Z with your other device:

  1. Send the contacts from your other device to your Xperia Z
  2. On your Xperia Z, tap "Accept" to confirm the file transfer
  3. Once the file is transferred, drag down the notification bar and tap the file in order to import the contacts

Transferring Contacts Using the PC Companion Program

PC Companion is a program that comes free with your smartphone. To install it, you need to:

  1. Turn on your Xperia Z and connect it to your PC via the USB cable that came with your handset
  2. On your smartphone's screen, tap the "Install" option
  3. On your computer, select "Run Startme.exe" when the pop-up appears on-screen, then click "Install" and follow the instructions
  4. To transfer contacts to your Xperia Z after installing PC Companion, click on the "Contacts Setup" option and follow the instructions provided on-screen
