Creating and Sending a Message:

  1. On the home screen, tap the "Messaging" app depicted as a smiley face
  2. To create a new message, tap the icon depicted as a "+" symbol next to a pencil
  3. Type in the recipient's phone number, or tap the icon depicting a "+" symbol next to a human figure and select the recipient from your "Contacts" list. Press "Done" when finished selecting recipients
  4. Tap the "Write message" field and type-in the message that you wish to send
  5. Optionally, you can attach a file to your message by tapping the "Attach" icon depicted as a paperclip
  6. Press "Send" when done

Reading a Received Message:

  1. Tap the "Messaging" app located on the home screen
  2. Select the desired conversation
  3. In case that latest received message does not completely appear, tap and hold the message, then select "Download message"
  4. If the message contains a file that you wish to save, tap and hold the file and select the desired option

To reply to a message:

  1. Tap the conversation that contains the message you wish to reply to
  2. Type-in your reply and press "Send"

Forwarding a Message:

  1. Access the "Messaging" app
  2. Select the conversation containing the desired message
  3. Tap and hold the message that you wish to forward, then select "Forward message"
  4. Press the "add contact" icon depicted as a "+" symbol next to a human figure, then select the desired recipient from your "Contacts" list.
  5. Once you've finished adding recipients, press "Done"
  6. Optionally, you can edit the message or add new data.
  7. Press "Send" when ready

Deleting a Message or a Conversation:

To delete a message:

  1. Access the "Messaging" app
  2. Tap the conversation that contains the message you wish to delete
  3. Tap and hold the desired message, then press "Delete message" and confirm by tapping "Delete"

To delete conversations:

  1. In the "Messaging" app, tap the menu button (depicted as three vertical dots)
  2. Press "Delete conversations"
  3. Tap the checkboxes corresponding to the conversations that you wish to delete, then press the bin icon and confirm with "Delete"

SMS and Multimedia Message Options

Changing the message notification settings:

  1. Tap the "Messaging" icon located on your home screen
  2. Press the menu button depicted as three vertical dots
  3. Select "Settings"
  4. If you wish to set a notification sound, select "Notification tone" and select the desired tone

Note: you check and uncheck various other notification settings as you see fit

Changing Delivery Report Settings for Outgoing Messages:

  1. Access the "Messaging" app
  2. Press the menu button and select "Settings"
  3. Tap "Delivery report" to deactivate or activate the option in question

Viewing Messages That are Saved on the SIM card:

  1. In the "Messaging" app, tap the menu button
  2. Select "Settings" and tap "SIM messages"
