Clearing the App Cache and Data:

NOTE: if an application is not working properly, you can try and fix these issues by clearing the app's data and cache. WARNING! Clearing an app's data will result in deletion of personal data stored within the app, such as login information, saved games and settings. To avoid this from happening, try clearing the app's cache first, before wiping the data.

  1. While on the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "Device", tap "Apps"
  4. Swipe to the "Downloaded" or "All" screen
  5. Select the desired application
  6. Tap "Clear data" and tap "OK"
  7. If the problem persists, tap "Clear cache" as well

Uninstalling an Application:

  1. From the home screen, tap the "Applications" icon
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Tap "Apps" under "Device"
  4. If necessary, swipe to the "Downloaded" screen. NOTE: only 3rd party apps can be uninstalled
  5. Select the desired app
  6. Tap "Uninstall" and press "OK" to confirm

Hiding Applications:

NOTE: while you are not able to uninstall pre-loaded applications, you can hide them and prevent them from showing up in the apps drawer. Hidden applications will also not perform any updates. To hide apps:

  1. Tap the "Applications" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "Device", tap "Apps"
  4. Swipe to the "Downloaded", "All" or "Running" screen
  5. Tap the desired app
  6. Tap "Disable" and confirm by pressing "OK"

Showing / Unhiding Applications:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "Device", tap "Apps"
  4. Go to the "Downloaded" or "All" screen
  5. Choose the desired app. NOTE: if you're searching apps alphabetically, all hidden applications will be listed at the bottom of the list
  6. Tap "Enable" and press "OK" to confirm
