Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:

iTunes can be used to transfer contacts from an iPhone to an Android device, by simply syncing the contacts with a Google account first. In order to perform this method of transfer, you are required to have access to a computer with iTunes installed and Internet access. (NOTE: if necessary, you can download iTunes from the official Apple website).

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Use the proprietary USB cable to connect the iPhone to your computer
  3. After it connects, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it to view the handset's summary page
  4. From there, access the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  6. Enter your Google account's username and password. If you've done this prior to following this guide, click "Configure" and select an existing Google account from the list
  7. Click "Apply" and wait for iTunes to sync the contacts
  8. On the Xperia T3, register the same Google account and set it so that it can sync contacts with your device. NOTE: to add an account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

In case you have used the iCloud service prior to following this guide, then the contacts stored on your iPhone should already be available on your iCloud account. Using a computer with access to the Internet, you can sign in to your iCloud account and export these contacts for use on Android. To do so:

Then, launch the "Phone" app, go to "Contacts", press "Menu" > "import contacts" > "SD card" > Select an account if needed, load the vCard file and tap "OK" to confirm

Using "My Contacts Backup":

My Contacts Backup is a third party iOS application that can be used to transfer your contacts without having to access a computer. This application can back up all of the contacts stored on your iPhone, and can send the backup file to your Sony Xperia T3 via email. To do so:

  6. On the Sony Xperia T3, open the email and download the attached file

Transferring Contacts via "Send Anywhere":

Last but not least, there's "Send Anywhere" - an iOS and Android app that can transfer contacts and various other types of files through cross-platform, through a peer-2-peer connection. This method of contact transfer does not require access to a computer.
