Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access in order to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data with the Xperia Z5 Premium.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone to view the device’s summary page
  4. Access the “Info” tab
  5. Enable “Sync Contacts With
  6. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  7. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  8. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to complete
  9. Once done, register the same Google account on the Z5 Premium, and allow it to sync contacts

Via iCloud:

NOTE: In case you have used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone prior to finding this guide, your contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. By accessing your account on a computer connected to the Internet, you can export the contacts in vCard format.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in to your iCloud account and click “Contacts
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. Wait for the vCard file to be downloaded on the PC
  7. Once you obtain the file, import it to “Google Contacts” or, alternatively, connect the Xperia Z5 Premium to the computer via USB, copy the vCard file to the phone storage, launch “Contacts”, and import the file from the app’s settings menu

Via “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: The transfer methods above require a computer with access to the Internet, however, you can also transfer your contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to transfer your iPhone contacts to another device via email.

  1. Visit the App Store
  2. Install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  3. Open the app and tap “Backup
  4. After the backup file is complete, tap “Email
  5. Make sure the backup file is attached to the email
  6. Send the email to your address, and switch to the Xperia Z5 Premium
  7. Open the email on the Xperia and download the attached backup file
  8. Import the file using the “Contacts” application

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is a third party app for iOS and Android, which can be used to transfer contacts and other types of files via a P2P connection, without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the same application on the Xperia Z5 Premium
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. Tap “Send” on the iPhone and select “Contacts
  5. Mark the contacts you want to share
  6. Tap “Send” and select a transfer method. You can tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the Xperia device to start the transfer, or you can tap “Receive” on the Sony device, and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
