Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between your computer and Sony smartphone
- Turn on “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- On the computer, open the File Explorer
- Use the Explorer to locate the desired audio files on your computer
- Copy the files and paste them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” / “Alarms” / “Ringtones” folders
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray
- You can safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Launch the apps drawer
- Go to “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can choose to enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Tap and hold the contact you want to edit
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK”
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
