Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data – including contacts – with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
  3. Access “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu at the top
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to commence the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in to your iCloud account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in to your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to the phonebook via Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: while the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android phone
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
