Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. you can then sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With
  4. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts
  5. Log in with your account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync completes, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: Assuming the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  5. After the vCard is downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use the Contacts app to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can use third-party apps to share your iPhone contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap “Email” and make sure the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email to your own address
  5. Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring a PC.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the app on the Android device via the Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send
  6. Finally, select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
