Is there a way to start playing a tone at maximum volume straight away?

I've cancelled ascending volume but still it always starts quietly.

    Many thanks in advance.

I think it depends on your firmware version, i had R1D at first and it always did increasing ring, even when it was turned off, now got R3A (free) and it starts at full volume
now then, now then, now then!!!

where can you obtain the the R3A... i mean is it for free? like free download or free of charge when you have your firmware upgraded?

Have a look for your nearest SE service centre, they will do it, it normally takes about an hour.

As far as I know the t610 always plays quiet first, then gets louder, regardless of whether you have that "ascending volume" option disabled or not.

yes, SE INTENTIONALLY design the ringtone to play from soft to loud. It's to prevent sudden max volume from damagin ur hearing

Tune your midi. maybe the main instrument is too soft or the instrument used has polyphonic value 2 in OKI sound map. send me your midi and i can tune for you? i got a T610.

T610 also has small speaker, as compared to Z600, same tone loudness differs
