I didnt watch hockey when gretzky was playin for the Oilers (His prime) I would say that my favorite player would have to be Martin Brodeur he is just amazing to watch.

I never said natural talent, player development/coaching/training didn't matter I just said Canada is home to the Religion of Hockey and they are more likely to have free ponds to play on....

Bobsledding? Seriously..."cool runnings" your comparing a crap shoot to hockey? I don't consider bobsledding a sport and anyone who does it to have talent, in fact I think it's a JOKE!

Demographics has as much to do with being good as hockey as population does to arena attendance... it won't make you a superstar but generally it's one of the factors, passion makes you a superstar.

I'm not arguing canadians aren't generally better than americans...I'm just telling you why....

And if canadians are better than americans at hockey why did I whoop on all those canadians in 2004? even the french fries?


seriously...in order to play hockey you need "ice time" and well that cost's money in america and the farther you go up north the more likely you are to get a frozen pond...
