best phone?

hey. my dad is talkin about switching from at&t ws. to sprint. what is the best phone they have with color screen, polyphonic ringtones, and all that good stuff? preferably a flip phone. thanx

It all depends what your fathers needs are in a phone. The 2 top camera phones are the Toshiba VM4050 and the Sanyo VM4500 w/Ready Link. If he doesnt want a camera there are the Sanyo 8100, Samsung A600 and Sanyo RL2500. But once again it all depends how many extra bells and whistles he wants with his phone. I personally like the VM4500, I bought it 4 weeks ago and real happy with my decision. But this phone suits my needs with the Ready Link.

the phone is for me not my dad...sorry i wasnt clear. basically all i want is a nice flip phone, with downloadable polyphonic ringtones and a color screen. a camera would be nice, but not a must. also, i dont know if i have to pay for it myself yet, so also which is the most affordable. thanx

With a camera the VGA1000 from Samsung is $259.99 thru Sprint, but you can find it cheaper like in Best Buy. You might even qualify for a rebate, that you will have to check. Take a look at the link I provided and scan the phones on that page.
Radio Shack did have a phone for like $99.99 with a color screen but cant say how good it is. I think they even carry one as low as $49.99.

If you do go shopping for a phone I recommend Radio Shack. They have a 30 day return policy, Best Buy is 14 days. I was not happy with the RL2000 and returned it for the VM4500 with no questions or hassle. Good luck with your search.

Do whatever you wanna do, its your money. But just because a moron comes into the Sprint forums babbling like a brook doesnt make him king know-it-all. Sprint does offer the best phones on the market.

no,no,no...i didnt make the decision because of him, its up to my mom and dad, and they want to get verizon.
