direct connect sprint n nextel

Hello I'm new to the site probably there was a topic about this allready. Does someone knows when the 2 companies customers are going to be able to call each other via the direct connect and shared the talk minutes? Any Idea.

The earliest U shoud expect full interoperability betwen various comanies is 2007 / 2008. There is a proposition to move nextel to the sprint readylink system as early as mid 2006, with the full implementation by mid 2007

Since interoperability of iDen-to-CDMA PTT has been demonstrated from a technical standpoint, only logistics and time seem to stand in the way of a complete integration of the companies' networks, if the merger is approved.

It would probably be among the first priorities and Sprint's website seems to indicate an early 2006 target for deployment to begin.

Ya' just mite be able to use Sprint to Nextel as soon as this summer. If all goes well.
