Sprint is definitely known for it's latest designs, mainly Samsung, but I've heard that the service isn't so good.

Would you rather have the cool phone with a bad connection, or a refrigerator with excellent connection?

Both. I'd pick either Tmobile and a Sidekick or Cingular and a RAZR. I'd try to stay away from Sprint even though I have them now because their customer service is a nightmare. No one in the 4 Sprint stores I've been to know anything about phones or how to use them. They don't even know what a USB port is.

Well here in my area (Bay Area- California) Sprint has excellent coverage and one of the hottest phone line ups ...Cingular is good but if you like data...Sprint is the clear leader. Vision is 15 dollars for unlimited usage going to your handset not using it as a modem. I have the newest phone on Sprint the MM560.
If you want a Great Sprint phone go get yourself a SANYO 5600...The hotness!!!

I constantly hear people complaining but i love Sprint. I haven't had too many problems and their service is fine. In all the places where there is "no way you'll get service with a Sprint phone", I've had service. Thed only time I didn't was when no one else did either.

1st Rule of Wireless: Carrier first, phone second.

Ask the folks where YOU are what their connection is like. Don't worry what it's like in the next county or across the state unless you go there a lot.

Ask the folks where you work, where you go to school, where you shop, and who live on your street, where you are gonna be.

If you AREN'T able to pull a signal from Sprint where you walk and breathe, all the cool features in the world won't make you happy with your phone.

If you DO decide to go with Sprint, then not only do they have some cool Samsung phones, but also a neat bonus is that they are the only carrier to have Sanyo phones , rated #1 handsets in US by JD Power & Assoc in 2004 . see http://www.jdpower.com/cc/telecom/jd...s/Find.jsp?s=6

Once you buy a phone from any carrier, you generally get at least 14 days grace period. Use this time to great advantage. Call everyone you know from everywhere you go for no reason at all.

If you unable to get good service, return it within the grace period so you are not locked in a contract ---no matter how persuasive the salesman ( "a new tower is going up on your street next week!!" ) or how good the "deal" is that he offers you. Don't go with a carrier based on price. Many people would gladly pay $5-$10 more a month to have service that is actually there.

It's always better to have better coverage than a nice looking phone.
Ask me about Sprint and Verizon
