I've had Sprint for 4 years now and I have dropped calls AT LEAST once a day.
In the middle of talking to someone, the call just ends.

I'm looking to switch to Verizon - any thoughts? Does verizon have dropped calls this bad as well?

I'm in Boston and travel all over the East coast for work on a weekly basis. So I need good coverage as well.

More people use Verizon. For phones, if you like phones over service, GO Sprint. Their selection is amazing. Verizon wins for coverage, plus on the new AC there's no roaming, which is good, and with Sprint for no roaming it cost $5 more.

I would have to say Verizon since I have it myself
Ask me about Sprint and Verizon

Sprint has a lot of great phones and their rate plans are at a good price. I know a lot of people who have terrible service with Verizon.

Verizon used to be by far the worst... but they've got Sprint beat nowadays.
Depends on your particular area though... those stats change depending on your location but overall reception is better with Verizon currently.

You need to get your phone checked...I use about 1200-1500 a month and I drop about 3 calls at the most a month....
If you want a Great Sprint phone go get yourself a SANYO 5600...The hotness!!!
