    I have a Sanyo 5600 from Sprint. I was wondering if u could use MP3s as ringtone? Thanx in advance for replying...

    Hi R1cky,

    I don't think you can. I created a few ringtones for my 5600 from MP3's but you have to give it a different extension to work on your phone. Pretty simple to do with the right tools.

    What kinda tools are u talking about??? And how do u change the extension? Thanx...

    I used Option 2 because I do not have QuickTime Pro. It is a fairly simple process.

    You can also use itunes or nero to convert to mp4 or aac
    If you want a Great Sprint phone go get yourself a SANYO 5600...The hotness!!!

    Thanks, I'll have to check out Nero. Saw you on another forum and was going to ask you some questions about the MM-5600, but I kind of got it all figured out. Been uploading pictures and ringtones to my phone.

    Cool the 5600 is a good phone....I will be holding on to mine until the merger goes thru and the hybrid phones come out.....Have you loaded a video on your mini sd yet?

    No, no video's yet, but I did go out and buy a 512 mb miniSD card and put some MP3's on it. Have you done video's yet?

    Ive tried to upload mpg video in the mini-sd, but the phone doesnt read the file. Do u know what kinda video does the phone read? Or what kinda video file does the video camera record to?

    Hi all.

    Yes the 5600 is a great phone. I got a 512MB sd card "free" at Sprint store when I purchased my 5600 phone. So I'm happy with both the 16MB and 512 MB mini cards.

    I got a 1 gd card and i got at least two full lenght movies and around 30 mp3 songs on my card and still had space i use 3gp converter to make this happen
