I've had Sprint for 5+ yrs now.
added another phone recently to family plan. And one day which charging the cell...either it got over-heated or the charged had a spark that it burnt a hole in the cell (near the battery). Well surprisingly it still works though i have no display. Is it possible for me to get a replacement.Of course i am out of the warranty period on this.I can't afford to buy a new cell now.Can i add another phone into the family plan and use the same number? PLease help me with ideas.thanks

you could see how their insurance plans work if you have one or could see if you can still get it if you don't have it

You're ok. Just find a full-service Sprint store next to you and take your phone in. Since you're out of warranty, they will offer you to add ESRP (equipment service repair program) for $3/month to your account - adding this puts your phone back into warranty. They will then take your phone in the back for the techs to look at and if they have the parts, they will fix your phone. If they cannot fix it, they will order a replacement for you, which takes 3-4 day to come in to the store.
Once you get this taken care of, you can take ESRP off your account - so the fix/replacement only costs you $3. But I would keep it - it's well worth the price.
