Hello.... I am assisting a co-worker with this issue. She just had her phone turned back on today and when she tries to make an outbound call, she gets an error message saying, "Your account could not be validated. Please contact Sprint PCS Customer Service." When we call her phone, it goes straight to voicemail. Does this mean that her phone is not programmed correctly?
The phone # & the MSID # are the same.
Thanks for your help. Trying to avoid having to call Customer Service on my lunch break.

That message means that the account is locked out or active for another phone. Call customer service or better yet, visit a Sprint store and they should be able to work it out for her.

We're trying to avoid having to go back to the store. Do you think it's simply a programming issue? I mean the number is active since calls are going straight to voicemail. So, I'm thinking either the ESN on the account is wrong or the programming is wrong.

It could be a programming issue. Because calls go straight to voicemail that means that the phone isn't being found on that account or is treating it like it isn't turned on at all.
Probably needs a reprogram if the account is active and clear.
